Wreaths Delivered to Arlington

The Oakhurst Dairy Wreaths Across America truck completed their mission on Saturday at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia by helping to deliver over 85,000 wreaths to the hallowed resting place of thousands of military veterans.

Marcena Phillips, wife of our truck’s driver Carl submitted a very nice blog post from her experience on Saturday and we have posted it to our website.  Click here to read it.  Both Carl and Marcena are well on their way back to Maine and are expected to arrive sometime on Sunday.

Oakhurst Dairy was honored and proud to be a part of Wreaths Across America.  We want to thank Carl and Marcena Phillips for graciously representing our company and being a part of this experience.  We have posted a ton of photos from the convoy and events on our Facebook pages.  If you have not already, please visit it and become a Facebook friend of Oakhurst and Wreaths Across America.

There are many employees that went above and beyond to make sure the truck was ready, something we would all be proud of and would truly honor all our fallen heroes.  Our Fleet Manager, David Green dedicated a ton of time and resources to make sure the truck was truly the best we had to offer from our entire fleet.  In addition, we would like to extend a special thank you to Ashley and Carl at Mr. Signs their gracious donation of time and materials but also for all their help making the graphics on the truck into a reality. They both worked very hard with very small time windows and last minute changes to make the package picture perfect.

The Bennett Family and employees of Oakhurst Dairy salute and thank our veterans and families of our veterans for their service to our country.
