Belfast Woman Wins Shopping Spree and Nutrition Consultation
Portland, Maine (December 2, 2010) - Pam Littlefield of Belfast is the winner of Oakhurst Dairy's “Living Healthy Shopping Tour” fall sweepstakes. Littlefield received a $200 shopping spree at her local grocer, and an in-store shopping consultation with Oakhurst's dietitian.
Littlefield is the latest winner of the ongoing sweepstakes from Oakhurst, and recently
spent an evening grocery shopping at the Augusta Wal-Mart, where she and Oakhurst dietitian Pam Stuppy focused on understanding food labels and making healthy shopping decisions.
Stuppy noted that education and consumer awareness are keys to being in control, and give shoppers the tools they need to be informed in the aisles.
During her shopping trip, Littlefield purchased a gallon of Oakhurst 2% milk, one of her regular grocery items. “I like the fact that Oakhurst doesn't use artificial growth hormones, and buying Oakhurst milk supports our local communities,” she noted. “You can't beat it!”
The 2010 sweepstakes marks the fifth year that Oakhurst’s Living Healthy Shopping Tours have taught winners how to make smart decisions when they buy groceries for themselves and their families. The Living Healthy program is a central part of the third-generation, family owned dairy’s commitment to getting involved to make a healthy difference in Maine communities.
